Our Story
Hi, we're Landon + Aida
A husband-and-wife wedding photography team based on beautiful Pender Island, capturing weddings throughout Vancouver Island, the Southern Gulf Islands, and the Lower Mainland.
Our story began in 2009 when we met at the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts while earning our diplomas in Digital Photography. Although life eventually took us in different directions, photography remained a constant, and somehow our paths always seemed to cross through our shared passion for creating meaningful images.
Nearly a decade later, fate had other plans. A reunion with mutual friends in Ucluelet brought us back together, and over the course of ten unforgettable days, friendship turned into something much more. We fell in love, and the rest, as they say, is history.
After getting married in 2021, building a life together naturally led us to build a business together. With remarkably similar creative styles and a shared belief that photography should be heartfelt, timeless, and authentic, combining our talents felt like the perfect next chapter.
Today, we're honoured to document love stories across the West Coast.
As a husband-and-wife team, we understand just how quickly a wedding day passes and how deeply meaningful the moments in between can be. That's why our approach is rooted in honest storytelling. Rather than directing every moment, we quietly document your day as it naturally unfolds, capturing genuine emotions, meaningful connections, and all the little moments you may not even realize are happening.
Our goal is simple: to create photographs that feel effortless, emotional, and unmistakably you—images that transport you back to exactly how your wedding day felt, not just how it looked.
When we're not photographing weddings, you'll usually find us enjoying the slower pace of island life on beautiful Pender Island.
We share our little slice of the West Coast with our little toddler named Leo, our border collie Charlie, a flock of curious chickens, and a handful of quail who keep us entertained every day.
Life here has taught us to appreciate the simple things — the quiet mornings, salty ocean air, winding forest trails, and spectacular sunsets. Living in a place where nature sets the pace has shaped not only how we live, but how we photograph. It reminds us to slow down, notice the little moments, and find beauty in the everyday.
That perspective naturally carries into every wedding we photograph. We believe the most meaningful images aren't just of the big moments, but of the small, genuine ones — the glance across the room, a parent's happy tears, a quiet hand squeeze, or the laughter shared between friends.
Those are the memories that become even more valuable with time, and they're the ones we're most passionate about preserving.
